The Biobank facility was
built by Bioscreen Instruments Pvt Ltd.,
for Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, Tata
Memorial Centre (ACTREC), Navi Mumbai for long term storage and retrieval
of biological samples collected during Epidemiological research.
This is the “state-of-the-art automated Biobank facility” and one of a kind Biorepository in India and we are continuously working on the similar projects across India.
The Facility was established and commissioned as a part of “Biobank for Research and Treatment Innovation”, inaugurated on 22nd March 2019 by Dr. Elisabete Weiderpass, Director International Agency for Research on Cancer, Lyon, France, and Sir Rory Collins, Chief Executive Officer UK Biobank and Oxford University, Oxford, UK, in presence Of Dr. Rajendra A. Badwe, Director Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai.
Bioscreen Instruments Pvt Ltd. currently provides comprehensive service and technical support by appointing dedicated personnel to execute the operations along with the staff of ACTREC.
